Soviet City Cinema: Approaches to Historical Research

چکیده

The article is devoted to the methodology of studying Soviet era city cinema as a social space. It presents historiographic review research in this direction, which shows that cinema, central link practice “going cinema”, was an important independent element everyday life, and its space historically changeable shaped by several stakeholders (government, administration network, viewers). For full-fledged historical analysis additional specific sources are required. As main concept for authors propose use theory philosopher sociologist Henri Lefebvre, formulated his book "The production space" (1974). According French thinker, broad sense can be physical (material component), mental (rational principle) (social practices relationships). result their activity, people influence all types spaces, with process space, physical, mental, social, taking place within society. If we apply Lefebvre's study cultural phenomenon, it should investigated at three levels: “representation space” forms), “spatial practices” (management functioning), “space representation” (experience interpretation cinema"). each level different utilized, characteristics presented article. In context, along other sources, attention paid personal origin (ego-documents).
